I am a platinum member at Ulta, and have always found the customer service to be sub-par. However, my worst experience happened a couple weeks ago when I got highlights done. Not only was staff unprofessional (one member was painting her own nails) but the woman who did my hair was lazy with her highlight application. Instead of weaving and separating strand by strand with a pick, on the mid sections of my hair she just alternated levels (i.e. Bleached a whole section and the laid down an unbleached section). I am also not at all tender headed at all, but she was so aggressive with shampooing and brushing my hair I watched as my hair was yanked out. However the worst part of my experience came when she did not wash the bleach out of the hair around the nape of my neck causing severe breakage. She didn't even fully blow dry my hair. For a 100 dollar service I was extremely disappointed. I called management a few days later only to be told I would be called back by a salon manager (which never happened) and had the phone was hung up on me. After calling again and speaking with a district manager did they agree to refund my service. However the first insisted that they "fix the problem", I told them that I wouldn't trust them with my hair ever again. It was just a horrible experience and horrible customer service.
