Everything about Uranz Hair Studio and Spa excudes professionalism, sophistication and comfort. I have been a client of both Kenneth and Katya for many years. Kenneth is expert at style, cut, color and conditioning—and I have all done regularly. A Signature Facial by Katya is also part of my budget. When she is through with me—cleansing, masking, moisturizing and massaging—I feel completely rejuvenated. Any tension or stress felt in my face and neck is gone and my skin feels wonderful. A real bonus, in my opinion, is the selection of truly top-notch products for hair and skin. Both Kenneth and Katya use these products and are happy to recommend the best for me. In addition, I always look forward to my time at the salon due to the atmosphere—classy and stylish yet also intimate, warm, relaxing and friendly. A cool selection of music is always softly playing in the background and I never mind a slight wait because the magazine selection rivals Barnes & Noble. I live equidistant between the Twin Cities and Duluth and I choose Uranz. The 80-mile, one-way drive is worth it. Uranz is the best!

I recently experienced the most incredible facial imaginable at Katya's Spa, Uranz. Initially I thought I needed a peel, however when Katya looked at my skin and talked to me about the best skin care method for my lifestyle I found it was very much the opposite as to what I needed. The scary part is that I would have damaged my skin at any spa that would have just done what I asked instead of beginning with a professional and caring consultation like at Katya's Spa. Furthermore, the skin care products are awesome. I never felt as good as after the facial experience there. Thanks Katya!

For the first time in years I love my hair! I am very happy with the excellent services at Uranz salon, and recommend it to anyone who wants a great haircut and styling experience, and who doesn't? The atmosphere is relaxing, the salon is clean and attractive, and the professionals there are personable and highly skilled. The prices are in line with other comparable salons in the area, but I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

I highly recommend Katya and the services she provides - pedicures, manicures and facials. She has many options and her approach is very personal but highly professional. Katya's rate are very competitive as well.

If you want a chic understated color and cut, Uranz is the salon for you in the Northland. Kenneth believes in quality and detail, and it shows in his work as well as his beautiful minimalist salon environment. A definite 'thumbs up'.
