I started here for a basic blow out. After having her blow out my hair, it felt stiff and course. Its never felt like that after someone blows me out.
I thought, this might be random. I will try her again as its local and she is a nice girl. I asked her to do my roots and cover some greys around my ears. She must have consulted with three different people for 15-20 minutes about how to color my basic and I mean basic root job. She washed my hair first, put the color on my head wet (Which I have never experienced) and for organic color, it burned my scalp beyond belief. I expect that with chemicals but not organic. She washed the color out and as she is blowing my hair out I am noticing PURPLE, WHITE and Black patches all over my head! She keeps saying how great the color looks and I had to yell STOP do you not see what I see? She casually says "Oh, that's so weird how the color pulled like this" Calls another woman over and asks her advice, I am now thinking she knows nothing about color. I came into the salon at 1:15, it is now 4:00pm and I am to host an event in Minneapolis at 7. I said "Color it all brown, I have to go" Mind you my hair was blondish caramel with highlights. After she does that and blows me out, she says " Obviously I am not charging you for today" I am absolutely speechless and leave. My hair looked dull, beyond dry and obviously not what I came in for.
I had a blow out scheduled before all of this happened that was for yesterday. They actually had the audacity to call me and say "Debby needs to cancel your blow out for tomorrow" I'm like really, you are punishing me for her mistake? Unprofessional, to say the least. I had intended on cancelling as I had to find someone else to color my hair but how about "Nicole, we know things didn't go well last week, do you still want to keep your blow out appointment"? Just rude. Not even a call from the owner.
They seem to service a lot of older women. I think this is their specialty. Do not go there for a hip style or basic color. That seemed to be too much to ask.
