I will not be coming back to this salon and neither will my 4 daughters 2 sons and mother. We have been good customers for almost a year now. We've had some good experiences and some bad. Some of my bad experiences include my daughter getting a horrible French manicure the morning of her engagement party which the manager even admitted was terrible and they redid for free, but it made her late to her own party, and another time that my daughter came in for an eyebrow wax the night before her graduation and had half her eyebrow waxed off and she ran out of the salon hysterical crying. I am not sure why we continued to use the salon other than the convenience of many manicurists for appointments and central location, because it certainly isn't a spectacular place. But today the most ridiculous thing happened. I can't imagine any owner who would do this to their business. Between myself and my 4 daughters we come in every two weeks for gel manicures and pedicures (that's a lot of money we spend here!), and my 2 sons and mother come in around once a month. Once every four months (that's only three times a year) I myself have to get a "special" manicure for religious purposes by which I ask them to split my appointment into 2 days (I get the cleaning parts done one day and I come in the next morning with the same technician to just put the polish on). This has never been a problem at any other salon, and it didn't seem to be a problem at this one until today. The receptionist told me when I came in that this would be the last time they would do that for me because "we just don't want to anymore". My manicurist told me she didn't mind at all, but apparently the receptionist minded. I told the receptionist that if they couldnt accommodate my 3x a Year special manicure, that i would have no choice but to find a new salon for me and my 8 family members who spend around $1000 a month there! She simply said "We don't care because we dont want to do that anymore". When I was all done and went to go pay, the receptionist tried to charge me an extra $10 because I was splitting my appointment into two days, something I was never charged for in the past. I refused to pay it and also told her that I went online to write a review of this awkward experience but decided to see first if I could email the owner and ask him/her if they are really willing to let go of 8 steady clients just for a "special" manicure for one person three times a year. But she said "no, you can just write a bad review". So, here it is folks. I feel bad for the owners who left their business in the hands of people who clearly don't know what they're doing. But, it's not their money theyre playing with so I guess they don't care. But I can't think of another nail salon that can boast having an entire family of biweekly standing gel mani-pedi and wax appointments. That's a lot of money that I will now be spending elsewhere.
