Remember this is just a very nice, affordable neighborhood hair salon-- don't expect some really fancy Madison Ave place- and some women simply MUST have that ( so be advised)-the woman and guy there are warm, honest people- been going there to have Robert cut my hair for over ten years and I still go back even though I live on the Upper West Side now rather than the Upper East.

The previous comments had me skeptical but i tried this salon out anyway because it's close to my new place.. Great vibe! Nice atmosphere and friendly service.. Had a full treatment from nails to eyebrows and hair cut and colored.. Great husband and wife partnership.. Definitely recommend!!

I got in because it said that a hair cut for men was 15 $. Once I was there, the guy asked how did I want my hair. Then he did whatever he wanted and shaved my beard a little bit (30 seconds maybe?). He then said it was 23 $!!! I said why and he replied becausae of the hair cut + shaving..WTF?? On top of that, he asked me then if I wanted to pay some tip as well. LIAR, LIAR. I will never come back there, such a scam and the cut was horrible as well. DON'T GO!!!!

Came to get a mohawk, and the barber inside didn't understand how to actually cut one and ended up giving me a buzz cut after I gave her the measurements and even demonstrated where I wanted the hawk. Don't recommend this to anyone who needs a good hard to do haircut because they will mess up.
