Made an appointment for my daughter to get braids for our trip to Florida. When we arrived we we're greeted with a very rude energy as if we weren't welcome. We were then told it be at least an hour before anyone can help us. Don't waste your time if your daughter is white. Never felt this type of service especially for a 4 year old. Don't bother calling

I would travel 60 miles to come to pelagies I love their work and enjoy the time spent in shop !! I now live in Albany and go to this shop and will continue!!

I been going to pelagie's for about ten years off and on. My hair always looks beautiful every time I decide to visit. Keep up the good work ladies and continue to us all beautiful. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

So I recently moved to Albany Area So I wasn't 2 familiar with the place,I wanted to get my hair braided so I decided to Google braid shops near me I saw Several but I choose this 1 based on the good Reviews I read on here,But my it was the worst decision everðŸ˜’,first of all wen I call the person who answered was very nice iam assuming it was the owner Pelagie she told me to com the same day I could get my hair braided,I explained to her my hair was very short and natural however I can twist my own hair so it can hold braids she said ok once it can twist then it can be braided.i asked her how long it would take she said once I reached 2:30 pm then I could be out by 8pm,I didn't left there until 2am ...at 1 point 3 ppl was in my hair it took forever.Long and short 1 day later all the braids from the back and sides started falling out a waste of my money It wasn't worth it ,honestly the ladies that braided the back did a nasty job however the owner Pelagie braided a small part in the top that was neat that covered the sloppy work at the back that's why I didn't notice until I got home I would have never tip them $15 ...I noticed customers got their hair cornrows and pulled it out because of dissatisfaction and all was said is that the lady had to pay the full money for the braid,I am extremely Disappointed and would not recommend Anyone to get their hair braided there
