I was upset beyond words with the results of what I was subjected to last week -- a Brazilian blowout. I went in to have a body wave and was told my hair was too short. Instead, without my permission or understanding, they performed the Brazilian blowout -- lots of chemicals, time under the drier, comb-outs, until well over two hours went by. My hair, usually brown, was now yellow-orange and, as I realized, full of chemicals. I was charged $200, plus another $20 for the blow-out. The next day, I washed my hair and put conditioner in it. The result:incredibly straight hair like old women in nursing homes -- and in the same hideous color. Many washings later, I still have to deal with this horrible result.

I've been coming here for about 4 years now and love this place. Angelica is the best and Joe gives great head massages. The staff is the best! Very friendly and helpful. My color is always perfect as you can see from the pictures and they help me keep my hair healthy looking. I get compliments all the time from strangers which feels a little weird sometimes but it's all good. It makes me smile. 😊 They speak English, Spanish, and Albanian which is a great added plus! 🥰 Don't tell Angelica I said this, but Joe gives the best head massages.

I have been seeing Angelica at Hair on Hudson for over a year now and she not only meets my expectations, she always exceeds. She is so friendly and kind but her skill with coloring hair is amazing. The are also the best priced for the quality of color and cut you will receive.

Extremely disappointing. The service was fine, but the owner charged us for services we did not receive (that had been canceled 24 hours in advance). When we went back and asked why we were charged he said he was charging us anyway…even though we followed his 24 hour cancellation policy. Unprofessional and appalling. The worst part was he didn’t even explain the hidden fees, we had to go back and ask.

Well first let me just start off by saying the owner is absolutely amazing. I went there wanting to change the color of my hair from a light brown to blonde. The service I received was absolutely amazing they were able to achieve exactly what I wanted and much more Joe Salamone runs an amazing business and I would refer For everybody to go to him and his salon. His staff members are so polite I’ve never been in a salon where they treat you like royalty. My daughter also got her highlights done there and they were absolutely amazing I am so happy with this salon, They truly made me a customer for life

I'm writing on behalf of my mother, Dotty, who is very fussy about her hair. She tried Hair on the Hudson and was pleasantly surprised at how beautifully her hair was done - both perm and cut. Joe and Alba are professional and courteous and are highly recommended!
