I went with my goddaughter last night while she got a new style cut. She's a young teen with beautiful thick, straight hair that is totally manageable and takes all cuts well. My goddaughter changes up her funky cuts all the time and never regrets the styles SHE picks out.
Unfortunately, she spent most of last night crying over her botched cut. Though she was very specific about what she wanted and took in a magazine photo of the cute Victoria Beckham style she was requesting, she ended up looking totally different.
I can't help but think that the problem stemmed from the stylist being distracted by the constant chatter between herself and one of her co-worker. Often looking more at the co-worker rather than the head in front of her and often stopping all together just to talk. The co-worker was totally uninvolved with her client and paid more attention to conversation and her phone than his hair.
At one point I saw my girl's stylist start cutting off a section of hair and thinking "isn't she supposed to leave that?" But at that point she was stopping and starting her work and looking over more at the co-worker than at my girl.
I wouldn't take my dogs to this place until these people can learn to focus on their work.
