I guess I should start by saying I am big on reviews. I lean strongly on high customer service standards also. With that said I took the time to read each and every review listed. In during so I felt that this may be a place we would try. I come to that conclusion because I noticed that the owner replied to every single review. Most companies only respond to the positive reviews. She wanted to see how she could improve and correct her mistakes. That was a plus. So, I call the salon last week, the person who answered was very polite. She answered all my questions, without frustration. Today I decided to take my daughter. Per the reviews the salon smelled of burned hair. If you have ever been in the North you would know that this is common in dominion salons. The smell was nothing as stated. Someone also mentioned they speak a different language when customers are in the salon, well it clearly states it's a Dominican shop. What language were you expecting? They greeted us right way. They took my daughter back within five minutes. We didnt have an appointment. The reviews also stated they dont use hair protection. So I had planned to carry my own. However, I forgot. Based on other comments, I knew they had products available. Thinking they would be overpriced, I dragged next door. The salon products were NO more expensive than at a store, they were probably cheaper. I watched her styling my daughter's hair. I asked her to use the product and she replied nicely yes, I put it on. I did in fact notice that section by section she added heat protection. The blow out come out fine. Its wasn't the best blow out but it is very nice. I would definitely take my daughter back because the stylist and the receptionist were all extremely friendly. As far as how long it last, I will update that later. For now, this shop is where we plan to go!!!!
