Bad Customer Service

I called the 252 # and made an appointment for today (02/18/2023)at 9:30 am. I get there at 9:15 am. One of the braiders tell me to call her to inform her that I was there, I called and she says let me call you back. She calls me back 5 minutes later telling me the braider would be there shortly, she was coming from Raeilgh which is a 30-45 minute drive. I then ask her why did she schedule the appointment if she didn't have anyone to do my box braids already on site for my appointment. My time is valuable I wasted 40 mins of my time getting there on time to be treated as if my money didn't matter. I will never refer or step foot in that braiding shop again.

Owner told me one price if I brung my own hair but was charged differently when arrived bc the hair I brung was “ TOO LONG” . The braids are definitely neat but are extremely too tight. My scalp is swollen and red. I can say my braider ( idk her name) was very nice and she actually talked to me. Amy even let me use her charger. Overall my experience was okay. Just need better communication about prices & maybe not braid so tight lol . I attached a picture & circled the red spots in my head

Kumba African Hair Braiding is my absolute FAVORITE place for me and my daughter! We have trusted them with our hair and this is the only place that we will go! Everyone is so professional and we have been going there for a while now and it feels like extended family! Amie takes good care of us and is always excited to see us. I have several relatives that book their appointments as well!! You cannot go wrong and you will love your hair :) #AmieIsOurFavoriteBraider!!

This was my first time visiting Kumba African Hair Braiding. Overall my experience was great. The lady who did my braiding did an amazing job. I will be going back again. I love the fact for $10 more they supply the hair. It took about 5 hours for small box braids.
