Lisa did an awesome job. I popped in as a walk-in, and she really impressed me. I have extremely curly hair, and it can be really hard to cut correctly; Lisa took some time to understand my concerns and I showed her the photos I was leaning towards. She didn't use them a whole lot, but she totally nailed the shape and style. She really listened and was very thorough, telling me I could come back if I noticed anything I didn't like and she'd fix it for free. The price was reasonable (about $25 for a woman's haircut), which is less than a lot of other places near Kent State. The decor was bit kitchy, but it wasn't dirty. I'm really satisfied and will continue to go back. Edit: While at Kent State, Lisa was the only person I trusted to cut my hair - she never disappointed. She's great: amiable, caring, and a great stylist. I referred a few friends to Cuttin Loose because of my great haircuts. The entire staff is great :)

These reviews saying how dirty it is just really tick me off! I've been coming to this salon for 20 years, and my mom for 20 years before that! Heck, our whole family comes here! The women working here are awesome, friendly, and very good at what they do! And I have never seen this place dirty EVER. They're super diligent about keeping it clean and welcoming! A wonderful salon, I can't imagine getting my hair cut anywhere else!

I recently found out that the negative reviews were posted by a competitor at another salon. Mean and nasty trick if you ask me. I've never seen this salon be anything but friendly and clean. It's in an older building but it's certainly never dirty. I wonder if those other reviews are from workers at other salons or if they've really even been there.
