I have never been there because I can never schedule an appointment! When I called Groupon for a refund, they told me they received similar complaints before.

This was the absolute worst facial experience I've ever had. I was led down into the shady, rundown basement of a salon that had chains up on the windows and doors for my facial treatment. Sheilah was very rough from the beginning despite me explaining that I have very sensitive skin. She left me in the room with a "mask" on for about twenty minutes by myself without checking on me once. The longer the mask was in place, my skin went from tingling to burning to straight up throbbing, which clearly was of great concern to me. I got up off the table and went out of the room to find her but no one was there. I was wearing a smock with only a bra underneath so I did not feel comfortable going upstairs to track her down at this point. When she eventually came back into the room, I immediately voiced my concern about the burning and throbbing sensations I've been feeling on my face. Sheilah proceeded to yell at me accusing me of having an attitude problem and then inappropriately escalated it further by stating she is not my servant when I asked her to please take the mask off being that I am Caucasian and she is African American. She then rubbed the mask off so aggressively that she ripped an earring out of my ear so I asked her to stop so I can remove it myself. My face is now very painful and bright red from the awful treatment I received. I have never been mistreated like this during any "spa" treatment in my life. Please save yourself the money and abuse, and do not waste your time in this appalling salon!

I've been a customer since 1987 and I absolutely love it here. The staff is great and the manicure and pedicure is better than any others I've received anywhere else!

Horrible experience. I got a groupon voucher for my mother in law and when she went there for her massage she said the place was dingy and there was no spot to put her things away securely, she had to put it in the basement in the open. She did say the massage was nice but it wasn't as described and she did not receive her wrap. After the massage she went back downstairs to get into her clothes and saw a mouse. She screamed and the masseuse came to see what happened and she showed her. The masseuse went to go get the owner but neither one ever came back downstairs so my mother in law got off the chair she was standing on and went upstairs with her things to get her clothes on. The groupon was for a massage and facial which the facial is scheduled for next week, but there is no way she is going back there and I wouldn't give them my business either. How are you going to leave a customer downstairs with a mouse and never come down to see about it. Had they came downstairs they would have received a higher rating. But they get a one star and no more business.

I had a facial a few weeks ago. I would not recommend Honeydew for a spa experience. Ambiance: The spa section of the Honeydew is located in the basement of the building. Its done up nicely, but its an old building, so when people were walking around upstairs, I could hear the creaking in the floorboards. This was a little distracting during my facial. Personnel/Process: The people were very nice! Sheila was polite and professional, I just did not like what my face felt and looked like after the facial. First, I am used to having much more extractions done on my face..or more time spent doing extractions. I think she only spent about 60 seconds max with extractions. Im used to my face being scraped clean! Perhaps this is harmful, but I like it. At the end of the process, she slathered on a whole lot of face cream leaving my face feeling really heavy and greasy! I also had lots of lint from the towels left on my face. I was not happy with the process or the end result. I am willing to try Honeydew for one more process, maybe facials are not their thing. I'll write a review for that procedure later.
