A week ago yesterday, I dropped into the salon and inquired about a hair cut for my son. I was advised to set up a "consult" with Lindsay and quoted $35. Yesterday we came into the consult. We met with Lindsay and we discussed a haircut and my son showed her photos. After the consult, I sat down and waited. The haircut took a while to start and I asked what was going on and he was being given a pretreatment conditioner. Never was I told about that or any cost. After the haircut she began blow drying his hair, which is naturally VERY curly. Then she started to flat iron his hair. I got up and asked why and she said he was curious as to how to straighten his hair and she said "Why not show him?" Why not? because he is a minor and not paying the bill and I am. I am sitting 10 feet away. So basically, my $35 hair cut ended up costing me $60. For a boys short hair cut and a style that lasted until he showered that evening. I am SO incredibly disappointed and angry. Your salon i s very, very close to home and we were hoping that we had found a place that we could frequent for his hair needs. After yesterday, there is no way we would come back. I have to make sure to let all my friends and neighbours know to lock down EVERYTHING at Oksana. Price, procedures, etc. I felt totally taken advantage of and lied to. What an awful experience I had and will share.
