Do you want to waste your money and time? Then definitely go here. I received a HORRIBLY UNEVEN haircut that was noticeably bad. I asked a hairdresser from another salon to take this video before I they give me a proper haircut. I'm doubtful whether the male hairdresser even has a license, as there's only one registered at this location for both a male and a female hairdresser.
I'm quite easy going with my haircut and I’ve never complained about a haircut—even when one hairdresser accidentally slightly burnt my bangs when I was 19. This time, I had my 'first' haircut by the male hairdresser and couldn’t communicate with him due to a language barrier. (I don't think it should be any matter if he did fair enough job.) Instead, I showed him a picture as the female hairdresser suggested. He began by cutting several inches off at once, and I gave up trying to get the haircut I wanted, and started talking to him with body language to explain the length and style I wanted. His handling was rough, pushing my head around and even poking my neck with the scissors. I didn’t complain about this because I knew he couldn't understand me, but it was beyond anything you’d expect from a professional hairdresser. He didn’t seem to acknowledge the issues or apologize.
Eventually, I had to ask the female hairdresser for 'rescue' because I was not only unhappy with the haircut but also worried about potential injury. Once he finished, my hair looked unbelievably bad, and the woman had to 'fix' it. But right after she finished fixing it, I found uneven part right away and asked her to make it even. She cut it off without the gown, and all the little hairs got into my cloth. She didn't even brush the mess at all so I did it on my own. I ended up spending DOUBLE THE TIME and STILL paid the same amount of fee ($28) without any apology.
When I got home and checked my hair again, it was as bad as a botched haircut in a viral video—horribly uneven with chunky layers. I’ve asked for the same hairstyle for the last seven years, regardless of the salon, and this was the first time I received such a disappointing result. For the five days until I went to another salon to fix it, everyone noticed how uneven my hair was.
I finally went back to ask for a refund. Initially, she insisted she couldn't give a 100% refund, but when I showed her how uneven it was, she got me 100%. She never apologized; instead, she became so upset with me and said that she hoped it would be my last visit there. For sure, I will NEVER EVER WASTE MY TIME AND MONEY, and get upset and embarrassed at this place again, especially when there’s a cheaper ($26), more professional salon just a minute away, next to Uni Tea. This is the worst experience I've had ever since I arrived in Ann Arbor.
