This was my first visit and last visit at Panache Hair Salon, which I selected based on many of the reviews pertaining to the stylists that were listed. Unfortunately, mine was not one of those, which I realized after the fact. From the very beginning, there was confusion surrounding what services I needed to have done; however if you’re speaking at the same time that the client is talking, you probably wouldn’t have a clear understanding of expectations. My initial call stated I wanted a wash, curl, deep conditioner and color. This was re-stated in-person before any treatment began. The dots just didn’t connect with her. My hair was washed; I received some sort of conditioner and was sat in her chair. After a few minutes went by, I asked her if she forgot about the color. From this point, a five minute conversation commenced going back and forth with both sides defending the request (as part of the services) and lack thereof. This was followed by further information offered, letting me know that she had somewhere else to be and had she known I wanted this additional service, would have asked that I come in earlier. Well, don’t take clients at 5:30PM!!! What I needed could not have been made any clearer-after making the request twice. But once again, attitude and arrogance will get in the way every time. My stylist was combative, rude and made me feel uncomfortable in our interactions. It was challenging for her to engage in a healthy two-way adult conversation and I felt extremely agitated during the entire visit, which was rushed. I don’t know anything about the two gentlemen who work in the shop, but their clients appeared happy. For the amount of money I spent, I can go just about anywhere and receive better service and enjoy a relaxing experience. Oh, and I still tipped her...... When they go low, you go high!
