I went for a perm, been getting perms for over 30 years, she rolled it perfect and I was feeling really good about it. When she finished, I asked where the ladies room was and looked at my watch it was 11:00. I then returned to the chair and she wasn't there but I could hear her talking on the phone in the other room. I waited and waited it's been 25 minutes...i'm getting scared...I grab the box to see if I can find where it indicates how long the chemical should stay on my hair and couldn't find it, i'm guessing because I was panicking...another 5 minutes and I still hear her in the other room so I got up and walked over there and said "Ummm it's been almost 35 minutes and I don't believe it's supposed to be on my hair this long, she says oh no I have a timer on and it hasn't been that long at all....I said are you sure because I went to the bathroom at 11 and it's now 11:35...she finished up the perm and I went home. I texted her within 2 hours and said "my hair is completely straight and feels like straw" (I've had a lot of perms but never ever a bad one so I wasn't sure what happened) she says maybe the perm was bad come back in and we'll perm it again....two weeks later she perms it again and again it's like straw....I realize I shouldn't have gone back but I thought she has the experience and maybe she's right the perm expired but NO, she knew she fried my hair and instead of admitting it, she tries another perm and totally destroys my hair. I'm 58 years old and have had hair down to the middle of my back since I was 10!!!! I have had to cut off my hair completely, yes very short. I believe her name was Kristie
