Only place I go to get my hair braided, I am from Baltimore Maryland, and york is very small and limited to the options of hair salons they have, this is a very old fashioned state. So it took me awhile to find somewhere decent worth the money to spend what I was asking for. I've been going to this place on and off for about 4 years now. They do a VERY good job, they go by appointments only, no walk-ins. From my experience they always start on time. To be honest, its not a lot of people that works in that shop, so it may take a little while for your hair to be completed. Once started they rarely ever take breaks while doing your hair, as far as communication I've had no problems. I know if I scheduled a appointment time in advance, through out the week I'll remind them precisely, just in case they may forget. And I also call them the day of my appointment to confirm appointment time as well. i highly recommend this place. Definitely to people that come from a big city and are use to having several options, THIS IS THE ONLY African braiding salon in YORK pa. My experiences are great , just got my hair done yesterday there ! GIVE IT A TRY PEOPLE , These are real Africans , THE REAL DEAL !

I originally made an appointment with this salon for Wednesday. I called the lady Monday to make sure she was able to do the hair style I wanted and she was so confused. She told me I never made an appointment. She tried to make it seem like I was lying. I will never spend money at this place. I'm so happy I didn't and neither should you.

Can i give this place 100 stars went yesterday excellent excellent place. Moved from Maryland to PA and I wanted my hair braided before going to Flordia next week been getting my hair braided off and on for 20 years never ever had my hair braided so fast micros 5 hours only had two people on my head for an hour they are phenomenal!!!! They are so gentle i can go on and on about very pleasant ladies will be going back in three months best place ever for braids Tawanda
