This salon appears to rarely service Caucasians unless they're buying shampoo. The past three times I've tried to schedule an appointment, I was given an excuse without any attempt to schedule for another time. "Sorry, but no..." was the answer. Yesterday, the tone was so fake and obvious, (uber valley girl) it was probably meant to discourage me from calling back! Could they tell I was Caucasian over the phone? Well, I have a very Caucasian sounding name, but I've also paid personal visits and received the same answer. They had stylists sweeping the floor and styling their own hair in the background, but no openings. I've visited other salons in other cities and never experienced that problem. I've had male stylists, blue-haired stylists that specialized in wild looks, black, white, etc. But this salon? It's written on their faces. You can hear it in their voices. They just aren't allowed to say it. Well, if they lack the versatility, talent, and confidence to operate within a commercial chain, I guess everyone is better off. UPDATE: After making a few calls, I learned that Orangeburg-Regis is privately owned by The Beautiful Group. I can't post phone numbers here but it isn't hard to figure out. Just contact guest services.

Georgia is the only one who does my hair. It's like a family there! Wish corporate would move them so they would have a better chance of survival. Malls are dying!
