I love getting my hair cut and colored at Salon 401. I always feel at home when I am there as I am always welcomed by Mitchell, Juan and Joyce. I've worn hair extensions for years that Mitchell has professionally done for me, I've worn hair color and had hair cuts by both Mitchell and Juan both. Juan gives the best pedicures. I am yet to get a facial but plan to in the future. You can not go wrong doing business here as they aim to please here.

What a WONDERFUL experience. Mitchell was so knowledgeable when it came down to styling and cutting my LONG & CURLY hair :) Most people don't know what they're doing and I typically leave the salon feeling dissatisfied with the entire experience. But I was SO HAPPY when I walked into Salon 401 and met Mitchell and Juan. They greeted my husband and I immediately, providing us with refreshments and welcomed us to Walterboro so warmly. Mitchell explained to me everything he was doing and really took the time to get to know us better. What a friendly salon! I am definitely going back to Salon 401 for all my beauty needs and I HIGHLY recommend making an appointment with Mitchell because he is FANTASTIC! MY curls have never felt or looked better!

Juan was a precise acurate artist wraped in the sweet soul of an artist. Jon, a completely ocd client was more than pleased and a definite repeat. Bell , a second generation legacy , was more than pleased.

What is there not to love about this place would be a great question. Mitchell and Juan will keep you entertained and make you feel special the whole time you are there. I now live in TN and still travel back and forth to get my hair done here. They both do an excellent job and always have. If I'm having a bad day, I always leave there with a smile on my face as these two make sure I do. Mitchell is very experienced in doing hair extensions, cuts and color, as well as micro dermabrasions. Juan is very experienced in cuts and color, as well as false lashes and eye brows, and he is excellent at pedicures. It's hard to find anyone that can give a pedicure like Juan does. He takes extra special time in making sure it's done right. I miss being so close to the shop I can just stop by to say hi. They are truly warm and friendly and make you always feel at home.
