Today marks the third time I have visited 2 Girls & A Shop. Pernelle is my stylist and she has never disappointed! Pernelle has completed a sew in on my hair before, and, as you can see today, immaculate box braids. Pros: I felt welcome as soon as I entered. Although Jada, the co-owner, did not do my hair, I have seen her complete several styles on different clients, such as bleaching a client's hair blonde and performing work on dreads. Both stylists are well versed on different ethnic hair. I have only gotten protective styles, which means, Pernelle has only added to my own hair, however, she has always been concerned with the health of my "real" hair. She treats my own hair very carefully. She is very stealth, yet delicate, when she combs, brushes or shampoos my hair. ( I know that sounds like it is a given, but my last stylist was very rough when doing my hair.) Both of them are ultimate professionals, who take their work seriously. Cons: I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this establishment. The only thing that is challenging is that it is an hour from my work. In my case, it is well worth the drive. I will return and I would highly recommend to others. The picture in white blouse was the sew in I got. The black and white picture is the other set of box braids I had got completed 6 weeks ago. The later picture is the box braids I got completed today.

Jada was FANTASTIC!! She removed years of my black box color and it came out better than I ever could have dreamed. She took her time and was very precise in her application, all while not compromising the health of my hair, which was my biggest fear. I will be recommending this salon to everyone and I will be returning!!
