People are always real friendly and never had to wait long. They have an app to check in online so you can go straight in and get a haircut. I've had 2 people who did awesome jobs on my hair who were managers I think (a Spanish lady and the other lady had a real short name with 3 letters but can't remember it) The other people haven't done a terrible job, but it seems like they kinda just wanna get you in and out real quick and don't spend alot of time on it. The short, older lady doesn't do so good, but she is really nice.

I bring my kids and myself here to get all of our haircuts. I've never had a problem with any hair style they've done. It's very professional and clean. Nice helpful staff any time I've had questions about hair products. Half of my family go to great clips and they've never had a complaint. Would recommend them to anyone needing a good affordable haircut or hair style.

If I could leave zero stars I would.This is for the Newport Tn shop. My son had been growing his hair out for a year. His hair was down to his shoulders. I took him in and asked for just a trim and stated that he was trying to grow his hair long. The next thing I know the lady had taken clippers up the back of this head. His hair isn't even a 1/2 inch long now. And it was cut so uneven. My son was very upset. He is 10 years old. I asked her why she used the clippers and she responded with she thought when I said trim only, I really wanted it to be cut really short because that had been what he had in the past, before growing it out. She took it upon herself to do whatever she wanted to do. Then the "manager" lady came over and asked what happen, I told her, we asked for it to be trimmed, that he was trying to grow his hair long ( it was already touching his shoulders), and she took clippers to his head and now he doesn't have any hair there anymore. The the (manager) lady told me it looked good for how it was cut and they it was a "PERFECT HAIR CUT". I asked perfect for who? She said she anybody, and again repeated it was a perfect haircut. I then asked her if I came in and asked for a trim would they cut my hair like that and say it was perfect she said " NO,BECAUSE I WAS A WOMAN". REALLY? This shop does what ever THEY want to your hair and they are rude. None of the staff members were friendly. I would NOT recommend anyone go there. They should get all new stylist or close that one down.

I go to the Newport Tn great clips all the time for my son and I to get our haircut. When I have my grandson and my daughter here from out of town they get theirs cut there also. Jackie O'lear cuts our hair here most of the times. She is great, friendly and we Love how she cuts our hair. All the other hair stylist have also always been nice to us while checking in and if there is a wait. Love this place
