I had such a positive experience at Love & Roots Salon! The salon is so cute, inside and out, and I was able to find parking behind their building as they suggested in their appointment email. I was immediately greeted and offered coffee by one of the co-owners of the salon. Shay, my stylist, cut and styled my hair exactly how I wanted, and I walked away with a couple of samples from their amazing shampoo selection. Will be coming back to get my hair colored by Shay!

Love love love. I've followed Jessica Chapman to a couple different salons now and now to her very own salon! I always leave happy with my cut and color. The salon is gorgeous and stylish - love the geo patterns everywhere and the gem colored wall! Highly recommend this lovely little salon :)

Ashleigh just gets it! Ashleigh has been doing "my blonde" since 2009. I no longer live in Austin, and in all the cities that I have lived since (including ostensibly good cities for hair like Portland and San Francisco), I have yet to find "my Ashleigh" - or anyone who can work the blonde with anywhere near her level of mastery. If I know I am visiting Austin soon-ish, I will wait until way longer than I should to cut or color my hair because I'd rather wait for her to do it than get another "pretty good but I don't love it" result. With Ashleigh, it's not "almost." I walk away completely satisfied, because the end result matches my vision every time. I have dramatically changed my hairstyle several times over the years under her guidance and I don't trust anyone else. She's been in the hair game for ages, along with a rich second career in music, and a third side hustle in writing. She has a great ear for listening, and stories for daaays about her travel and living experiences (ask her about making albums, cross-country touring, "merch girl" ing for other bands, her year in an RV) that make an otherwise long afternoon of double-bleach-process-and-a-cut disappear enjoyably.
