Derek not only knows hair, but he also knows how to relate and connect with people. I believe this is the most important part when choosing, and ultimately trusting, hair professionals. I absolutely LOVE what he has done with bringing health, life and natural beauty back into my hair. His knowledge, artistry, skill and understanding provide a 5 Star experience from the moment you take a seat in his chair to the moment you take your “after” photo (and selfie of course). Since day one, he has continuously taken the time to learn exactly what I want in order to in return, give me exactly what I need. I cannot say enough great things about Derek and his high level of expertise - I am so proud to say that I have found THE hair guy! And I can definitely get used to this newer sense of confidence I now have with any style/color he designs specifically for me!

Until I started going to Derek, I never had a commitment to a hair stylist. But after my first visit with him 2 years ago, I’ve never let anyone else touch my hair! He NEVER rushes, and always sits me down first to discuss his “plan and ideas”. I can always count on him for suggesting a fresh new look. You know you have the best of the best when at least twice a week someone randomly says, “ you have the best hairstyle!” Who does it? Derek is also a truly genuine and awesome guy to chat with . Love his kindness, spirit and his talent. If he ever moved out of state, I’d probably fly to wherever he is once a month to continue getting my hair done by him!

I have been going to Derek for the past year and I've never had someone pay so much attention to detail. He listens to what you want and gives each client their own haircut. I have very thick hair and like a lot of layers and he does such a great job of making my hair light, layered and fall perfectly around my face. I would recommend him for anyone!

Derek saved my hair! He is confident, skilled, naturally talented, funny...and who doesn't love a little eye candy while they get their hair done?! I had the misfortune of a horrific haircut many moons ago - taking my long hair to a shoulder length mullet with chunks of 1-2 inch hair scattered throughout my head. Don't ask...it was devastating. Needless to say, I had to find another stylist. After a couple years of searching (and more bad haircuts), I finally found my savior. My hair was a confused mess on my first visit to Derek. Something to the tune of about 4 different hair cuts going on at once. He managed to bring peace and order to my hair :) As we all know, a woman's hair is a huge part of her identity. I feel like he restored mine. He's been doing my hair ever since (6+ years). I won't let anyone else touch it. In addition to the original mess that he saved me from, I have extremely thick, unruly, wavy hair. Everyone always wants to "thin" and "texturize" the hell out of it...leaving it looking choppy and uneven. Not Derek. He consistently transforms my hair into a smooth, perfectly even, connected and flowing thing of beauty...regardless of how I style it. This guy knows how to design hair! I can't imagine ever trusting anyone else with my lovely locks again. Hopefully I never have to.

Derek is one of the best hairstylist I have ever been to! He pays so much attention to detail and always makes my hair awesome. He recently highlighted my hair and they are gorgeous!! I definitely recommend him!!!
