Worst Salon Experience

The worst color and cut I've ever had. The color looks like I did it myself with box hair dye. She used a permanent color on the roots and a different color gloss on the rest. The colors do not match. My hair is dark brown and you can see roots/difference in color. When she was putting the all over color on, she started to comb it though the top and front. Then she hit a few snarls and seemed to give up and barely rubbed it on the rest of my hair (back and underneath). The cut was terrible. He cut my bangs an inch shorter than what we had agreed. I had to tell him three time what side I part my hair on. After getting shampooed and blow dryed I still left with a glob of hair dye in my ear lobe. They do not have a system. Never asked my name or time of appointment when I arrived. The owner thought I was someone else. He referenced talking to me on the phone. I never called the salon. No idea how they have good ratings. STAY AWAY

I tried this place out after recently moving to the area and seeing all the excellent reviews. I always get nervous going to a new salon but I was not disappointed! I saw Clinton and he was amazing. I even came back yesterday to have my bangs corrected that I totally messed up myself and he was very kind and made my extra-short bangs look fabulous. Definitely will be coming back for future cuts and color! :) Thank you!!

I love this salon! Zee gave me the nest haircut/style I've had in many years. He had a real eye for what looks good and made great practical suggestions; he left my hair long enough to tuck behind my ear (discussed with me first) so I could change up my look even with a very short haircut. Zee is easy going, pleasant, professional, and won't talk you to death. He is truly a master stylist. Can't wait for my next appointment in December for a cut and color! 🔥🔥🔥

This place was really nice! I had never been to a salon before this, and I'm glad I chose this one. The atmosphere was very relaxing, and the stylists were all very nice and chill. I thought all the art/furniture/lights were very tasteful and generally good. I wanted to dye my grown out hair so that it would be all the same color, and that was exactly what happened. I really like this new hair color! I highly recommend this salon, thank you Magnum Opus Hair Salon!

Incredible salon. Went in with very dull, one-dimensional appearing hair hoping for highlights or bayalage to breathe some new life into it. After a full foil, the colorist passed me along to a stylist who gave me a cut. Throughout the appointment, 3 of the 4 staff who were present checked in with me and reassured me that I’d leave happy. They were right- the colorist gave me very natural, subtle highlights and lowlights that added so much dimension to my hair and immediately made me look less washed-out, and the cut is one of the better ones I’ve had. Lastly, the whole place had a vibe that reminded me of my favorite coffee shop and they mixed their own music. Oh- and I arrived 15 minutes late d/t a flat tire and very unlucky afternoon and every single staff welcomed me & said I was right on time (which I entirely didn’t deserve).
