I came in for a complimentary haircut with Tera, she was amazing! Showed her a picture of what I wanted, but gave me so much more! My hair has never been so soft! She really listened to what I needed and kept asking if it was okay and if I liked everything so far, it was reassuring that she really cared what I thought and exceeded all my expectations! Communication is key and she was very good at communicating. She blow dried my hair into the cutest bob!!! I can’t wait to come back! :)

Got a free haircut coupon with stylist India for the first-time users. Scheduled appointment for 3:45pm on a Thursday... Realized the traffic was worse than expected so called them at 3:35pm and informed the receptionist that I’m running late. Asked if I should cancel or reschedule. She said that they have a “15 minute grace period” so I should be fine. With figuring out the parking and trying to locate them in the huge Mall as it’s my first time, finally got there at 4:01pm (one minute over their “grace period”) and was told that I’m late and so they canceled my appointment. I realize that I was late but had no idea that 1 minute will make such a difference. I explained that I only needed a simple trim and I didn’t need it to be styled/blow dried. The receptionist didn’t seem like she cared much. Just said that it’s not up to her and that stylist marked me as a “no show”. I wish they just told me not to come when I called to notify I’m running late.

Called before I arrived to let them know that I was black with natural coarse hair and to make sure that the stylist was familiar in working with my kind of hair, the lady that pick up the phone since she was new she specifically went and asked the stylist and the stylist said yes. I arrived at my appointment early because I was warned about being late, and 20 min after the time I was supposed to have been seen the manarger lets me know that the stylist that was supposed to fix my hair has not passed the class of black course hair. So there I was after 7 pm with no where to go and no solution to fix my hair and no one that could fix it. But she did let me know not to feel bad “because it was not my fault” would not recommend if you are African American with course hair.
