Gena colored my hair recently and did a fantastic job. My boys love going in to get their haircut there. Everyone is so nice and do amazing work!! Won't go anywhere else

My wife went there on Sat and had her hair cut and colored. After she got home she noticed gray hairs everywhere and the color she picked was not what she received. It cost us 160 with a 20 dollar tip. I should have read the reviews first and had I, i would have never went there. After all they are in Wal-Mart and you get what you should expect there. I read other reviews and didn't even want to ask for our money back because I don't want to waste any more time then I already have on this place. If you go there enter at your own risk. After all you get what you pay for right?

WORST SALON EVER!!! My review is a bit lengthy but it explains how this nightmare destroyed my hair. I called SmartStyle salon on 3/11 & asked about pricing for a haircut & getting my hair bleached. I was told that bleaching my dark hair would be a process but that I wouldn’t walk out of the salon with orange hair. I was also quoted $79 for the cut, bleaching, & toner. I was told to plan for at least 2 hours. I made an appointment for the next day. I came in at my appointment time and showed Brittany the picture of the style of hair I would like. She said that it was easy to do anything & wouldn’t be a problem. She started with the bleaching process. She spent about 30 minutes applying bleach to the top of my head. She had to keep leaving to mix up more bleach. I asked how long she would leave the bleach in and she said 20 minutes after it was all applied. For the last few minutes she applied to the roots. Brittany then told me because I was getting an all over bleach done it would be more money than what was discussed on the phone the day before. I said ok, she had already applied it all to my hair. After the wash & toner was done my hair was a bright banana yellow and orange. She told me most of the orange would be cut out & not to worry. Brittany cut my hair and spent another 30 minutes blow drying my hair and applying products. She kept avoiding me being able to look in the mirror or from my mother, who was present, by pointing my chair in the opposite direction until she was finished. I looked in the mirror & said I looked like a baby duck & didn’t like it. I said maybe I just need time to adjust to the length. I messed with the bangs for a bit while they told me I could come in for a bleach wash to get it lightened & told about a product that would help. I really didn’t like my hair & expressed this to Brittany and the other lady who was working. After I got home I washed out all the product out of my hair & better inspected it once it was dry. What I found was extremely unevenly cut hair, so lopsided that it went above my ear on one part and below my jaw on another part. It was nothing like the picture I showed her. Parts of my hair weren’t bleached at all. Most of my hair was a vibrant orange. She kept me in that salon for over 4 hours for it to look like this! I tried very hard to convince myself to like the cut & that the color wasn’t permanent. I absolutely hated it still. I called the salon the next morning and spoke with Geana, the manager of the salon, and was greeted with an attitude, unprofessionalism, & told I have to come in to get it looked at. I called my mom since she had paid for this, & told her that I didn’t trust this place to attempt to do my hair again. I was afraid that I wouldn’t have any hair left if they messed it up again. My mom then called & spoke with Geana & was told I need to come in to get a refund. I came in the same day & she looked at my hair. She told me there wasn’t anything she could do at the time & that I’d need to come in tomorrow to get it fixed. I said that I’d prefer to go elsewhere because I didn’t trust the salon & didn’t want to drive out for a third time. Especially after being told that she claims it took her a year to reach platinum blonde in a small spot of her own hair. Geana said that she would issue a refund. She then explained it would take 2 weeks because it has go through corporate. She took down the information&we left. Geana called later that day&claimed she couldn’t issue the refund. I have since gotten my hair fixed and the salon that I went to could not believe that they let me walk out of the store looking the way I did. I have been in contact with the supervisor for this salon and they are flat out refusing to refund it. This place is full of lies! Will completely destroy your hair. DO NOT GO HERE!!! UPDATE: After my mom had several email exchanges with Lana, the supervisor, and sent her the pictures of what had happened to my hair, we finally got an apology and she issued a refund that we should receive in 7-10 days.
