I am disappointed with my first experience at this salon. I went in for a cut & full balayage.. I said I would like platinum blonde and had pictures to show. She said that balayage would not get the bright/white blonde I wanted so we did a full foil. I have been getting foils with platinum blonde for the past 12 years, so this is not new to me. She did my hair, and sometimes it can seem a little darker inside, so I went home to see out in the natural light, etc. It was a very dark dirty blonde, almost brown and was darker than what I went in for, so I called immediately and explained that I had wanted it to be more blonde, and would they please go back through to add some more foils? This was my first time, so maybe there was just miscommunication.
I went in one week later, this time with another stylist because this was the only availability. I reiterated that I like a bright, white blonde and showed the same pictures again. I did not get a 'I understand, we'll fix this, etc.' I was argued with, patronized, told that most internet pictures have filters, and what I wanted was not something that could be done in one appointment. I said well please, just do what you can to get me more blonde. They made me sign a waiver and said "I'll try my best, but this isn't going to be white". These two appointments, took me 6 hours, $300 and I still did not get what I asked for. Their inability to do what every other stylist has easily been able to do, is a joke.
I did not say anything negative, I gave them a chance to correct it and was very polite, but they do not seem to care about my time, money or personal preference. This is also the first time in my life that I was not offered or asked how I would like my hair styled when I was done. Paying $300, at least offering to curl my hair like the hairstyle I asked for, would have been nice.
I have pictures for reference, because I did not ask for anything that was impossible. My hair does not look bad, it is just completely not what I asked for, and apparently they do not have the expertise to do a bright blonde.
Pic 1 -This was the color I went in to the salon with
Pic 2- These are the cut (left) and type of blonde (right) that I said I wanted.
Pic 3 - Far left was my first time, the middle and right were after a second full foil
Pic 4 - These are two separate occasions in the past where I had a partial foil and was bright/white blonde, so this is not something that should take 3 appointments for me to achieve.
Again, I am not saying that the stylists aren't good or that my hair looks awful. I just did not get what I asked for at all, and they don't seem to be able to do blonde, so I flushed my $300 down the toilet. I will be going to another salon to get what I want, and I will never go back to Peppers after this.
UPDATE 2/19/18
I did receive a call back after this review and they were apologetic of my experience. They did offer to compensate for not receiving what I had paid for, and I truly appreciate that.
