DO NOT GO HERE. Awful. Just awful! An unclean and cluttered space. There is only 2 stylist chairs and they fill the space. Both stylists were busy but welcomed me when I came in and I confirmed my appointment time which I was early for. The gossiping continued while I sat quietly in my seat. Then the stylist closest to the front door (later discovered this was the OWNER, Glenda) turned to me to ask if I was a skiier because my face was so red, burnt, and blistered. Everyone was now looking at me. Embarrassed and feeling awful I told her "No, I have Rosacia" to which she replied with almost sarcastic insincerity "Oh, sorry, I have it too but I wear makeup to cover it up so people don't say anything" then she continued to cut the gentleman's hair in her chair. Flabbergasted I picked up my purse and left. I was mortified. How rude?!?! How unprofessional. She doesn't know me. Was I sick? Was I burned? Was I beaten? Was it perhaps a sensitive subject that she could have asked me about discreetly when I was in her chair? She didn't know anything about me, not to mention the redness of my skin had NOTHING to do with the restaurant conversation she had been having with her client. Yet she felt justified in loudly pointing out my face and having the full salon turn to look at me and gawk?!? When I got home I called to officially cancel my appointment and give them an opportunity to genuinely apologize. She said "I really don't see what the problem is" and I got petty and said I couldn't wait to get on social media and I hung up. The owner called back and left me a vile voice mail claiming I had an attitude, that she had no way of knowing I was so sensitive about the subject, and my little incident wouldn't hurt her alleged 5 star business at all, so sorry. I have saved the VM and will GLADLY share it with whomever would like to hear it. Needless to say, I won't be returning and I would never recommend this salon. A salon is a place to gain confidence, to polish appearance, to feel pampered. Tangles is where you go if you want to be insulted and put on display for any physical flaw the owner deems worthy of her attention. There are 10 other salons in Bonney Lake (I think), save yourself the hassle and go to a salon where you're treated with respect and the owner/manager/employees comport themselves in a professional manner. Awful. Horrible place with an equally horrible owner. Never going again.
