Came here to get my hair done for the first time in years. I've always been weary of getting my hair done at the salon because it never seems to be done right. I've had good experiences with Gene Juarez in the past and decided to give it a shot. I got off a plane in the morning and went directly to the salon as I had limited time. I showed Asia a picture of the hair I wanted for balyage, emphasizing that I wanted my hair lighter, brighter, and less gold/bronze. I also said it would be nice if she could feather the blonde into my roots so that the grow out isn't so bad. Well, my hair ended up looking exactly the same, if not worse, as before. I clearly had two stripes of horizontal color at my roots and my grow out was not corrected AT ALL. It did not look the slightest bit blonder. 3+ hours of wasted time. Even the stylist seemed surprised. Luckily the manager was able to help me get rescheduled at the Alderwood location and Gabrielle was able to get it fixed like I had asked for in the first place. Still, it didn't look much different than what I can do myself at home and for a fraction of the price I'll just continue doing that. Unfortunately, this was a huge inconvenience as I was on a very strict schedule and planning to leave town the next day. I had to rearrange all my plans. Very disappointed with Gene Juarez and will likely not be returning. See pictures for examples of my "dyed hair" done at Gene Juarez.
