I was looking for a curly hair specialist in Toronto who I felt was highly experienced and knowledgeable, and the photos on Prisma Hair Design’s Instagram page caught my eye immediately. I was able to book a consultation with Mimmo very soon after calling. During my consultation, Mimmo was very thorough in explaining his techniques, teaching me tips about my hair, and he was very clear upfront about pricing. But above all, he LISTENED! He did not speak over me and was respectful about my desired results.

He takes his time and is so precise, and gives lots of recommendations! I love the way my hair looks :)

Jane Roberts-Long 3 reviews a year ago If you have any degree of Curly Hair, this is your Salon!!! I stumbled across Prisma Hair Design about 15 years ago as I was searching for someone who really knew how to cut curly hair properly. I had tried several “Curly hair” specialists but was never happy with the results. Mimmo has been professionally trained by Ouidad (Manhattan, New York) and does an outstanding job without fail. Mimmo listens to your concerns about your hair and explains how he will achieve the desired results. I now reside in Ottawa, however I still make the 5 hour journey to Prisma as I have not been successful in my many attempts to find a salon that achieves the desired results with my tight curly hair.

Daniella Nusca 2 reviews 10 months ago Mimmo and Kim were amazing. This is the first successful haircut I’ve had for my wavy/curly hair. Mimmo and Kim both took the time to show me the proper techniques and amount of product I should be using to achieve the defined, frizz-free curls I want! I would definitely recommend this salon if you have any hair type.

He did not speak over me and was respectful about my desired results. During my appointment, Mimmo and Kim were very friendly and kind. Mimmo, who was professionally trained by Ouidad, took the time to provide me with a skillful haircut and full head of highlights and lowlights. His expertise shone through as the results were beautiful. Kim clearly demonstrated styling techniques using Ouidad products on my hair that I will be using on my own at home. I referred my sister, who also loved her experience, and I definitely recommend Prisma Hair Design to anyone else looking to love their hair.

I had an incredible first experience at Prisma Hair Design. Not only did I walk out with the best haircut I have ever had but I also walked out curl educated! The consult before the cut set the tone. Mimmo throughly communicated with me, asking me what I was hoping to achieve from the cut. He was upfront about pricing and very clear about how much he intended to cut length wise which I really appreciate. It’s never fun to be surprised about pricing or length at the end of a service. I took advantage of the 25 dollars off first time client deal. Mimmos work is so precise and he is truly passionate about hair. Kim did a wonderful job washing and applying the products and really showing me exactly how to do it. The vibe was friendly and fun! I will 100 percent be going back! This is the beginning of a beautiful hair relationship and I cannot thank Prisma Hair Design enough for the amazing experience!
