Not impressed.
I brought my daughter to Scavo for her prom hair appointment. While the stylist did a lovely job on her hair, the overall experience left a lot to be desired.
From the moment I walked in—clearly the one paying the bill—not a single person offered to take my coat, offer a more comfortable seat, or even a drink. These are small but important details, especially at a salon with premium pricing and a strong reputation.
Later, when I came to pick her up, I had to double park in the pouring rain on Yonge Street. I watched my daughter, umbrella in hand and fresh from having her hair done, struggle to open the salon door for over a minute while three staff members stood just a few feet away at the front desk and did nothing. I eventually had to get out of the car, holding up traffic, to open the door for her. When I mentioned it, I got a look from one of the employees like I was the problem.
Again, the hair was beautifully done—but the experience made it clear that attention to the client just isn’t a priority. And at a place like Scavo, the details really do matter.
