I've been going there to get my hair done for about 2 years now, roughly every 3 to 4 months. I've had a great experience 90% of the time, both with the person working on my hair, and the instructors who walk around and check the students' work. It does take longer than a regular salon because the students are practising what they learned, but outside of that, they know their stuff, have good technique for cutting, dying and styling, and honestly, I've even had students offer to get me a Stbx coffee or put more money in the parking meter while my hair was being colored - super super sweet gesture. I would recommend this place to anyone who is okay with spending a bit less money, but a little more time on their hair do :)

I am now finishing up my hair program at Blanche and would love to say that there are great teachers and very welcoming staff. I 100% recommend others to come here. Glad I chose Blanche!!

My experience at Blanche MacDonald was a great one, so much so that I am now working with the company. From the first day of my program I had always imagined myself working with the company. The culture was everything I imagined my dream job to be; everyone was friendly and had so much passion for their role at the college. During my Studies within the Fashion Merchandising program I learned about the history of fashion as well as industry relevant information that helped me gain experience in my field. The opportunities for volunteer work, internships and paid positions within my industry were endless thanks to the career advisors Blanche MacDonald provided. The learning environment was exceptional and paved the way for the education I would later work towards. Blanche Macdonald was my first post secondary experience outside of high school and although a scary and daunting experience for many young adults, it exceeded my expectations. Each teacher within the program worked in the industry and had the knowledge needed to educate the students in a way that helped mold us into well-informed individuals who could go out into the workforce and gain valuable practice. My experience with Blanche Macdonald is one that I ill never forget, and always respect. I highly recommend Blanche Macdonald as a place to gain higher education in an environment catered to meet each student’s need and shape you into a qualified individual for your chosen career path.

I am in love with everything about Blanche Macdonald! The students and the staff are wonderful! You must want to actually learn though to enjoy it! :) The staff are helpful. patient and very talented! November I moved to B.C to attend to school and from the start they were amazing to help me with school and pursue my career! I am already volunteering in tv/film! It's amazing to see your name on a call sheet, and this is just the start! Honestly, I have nothing negative to say! You just must respect the staff to recieve respect and that's everywhere you go! They help you and prepare you for the real world out there, you must take this seriously, cause after all this is what you want!
