From a newcomer to Denver who's had extensions for 10+ years and tried many salons in the area...
Now that I have found Jordan at Glo, I have a home for hair. I need hair extensions for work, so this is less a "luxury" for me and more a necessity. Extensions are a significant investment and require a long-term relationship with a salon, so research definitely pays off. If you're like me, you want as hassle free and "transparent"/predictable an experience as possible. Despite my research, I experienced blatant scamming, exorbitant pricing based on branding (not quality), constantly changing/obscure pricing, poor extension quality, self-serving dishonesty, price shaming (this possibly being the worst on my list), and more - the experience was overwhelmingly negative until I met Jordan from Glo. Glo is unique in that they offer hand-tied extensions - something I wish I had discovered sooner because they're awesome. Over the years I've had tape, micro-link, and combinations of both. None of these allowed me to feel confident with my hair down. Hand-tied extensions are perfect for thin hair like mine: easy on the scalp, low maintenance, cost effective and comfortable. They're also highly technical, and Glo does them expertly; offering them in rooted tones (ombre), balayage, and solid colors (which can be combined). Consults are free. Glo uses respected product brands and has the most informative website I've seen yet - it's a great resource. Still, extensions are tricky, and issues can arise even with perfect technique and reputable brands. I recently experienced this nature of issue. Not only did Glo address my needs immediately, they took it upon themselves to offer a temporary service as a solution (at no cost to me), and then swiftly replaced the extensions free of charge. My satisfaction was their priority (and the priority of the actual extensions provider, who cooperated and took time to ensure I was being cared for). This is an incredible "value", and one I did not experience in many large salons and despite hearing the sentiment often. Glo put it into action. Their prices are more sustainable than any accredited salon I have visited yet (7 total in Denver and area), and in addition to excellent service, they alone offer the hand-tied technique I've come to love. Considering their work ethic, I cannot imagine anyone being dissatisfied. I now LOVE my hair. I also have the luxury of knowing that I'll be well served should any issues arise. Thank you Jordan and Heather - you were WELL worth the wait!!!
