Stay away

Don't book this salon if you actually want your appointment to happen. I've been a customer for about two years, and I've spent considerable money at this salon. A few months ago, they have texted me on the day of the appt to let me know my stylist was "on leave." When I arrived for an appt with another stylist a week later, the previous one was back! Great, I'll book with her again! A few weeks later, same thing - I get a text that the stylist is gone and an offer for a much junior stylist. I took the appointment with the junior stylist and it was fine, but not great. I book another stylist for a few weeks later, then am told the first one is back, great will book her! And then today, wake up to a text that she again is gone and can't do my hair today, and I'm offered the same junior stylist as the last time. OK, let's book her! Oh, oops, she isn't available. Never was I offered an apology, never a discount for the issues. The client service here is terrible, you can't count on your s

**Updated to one star (from 2) because the owner has not responded to my clarification. Likely because they were caught in a lie and will not admit that one of their stylists did a horrible job treating my hair. **This is my response to the response for the owner. First, thank you for responding. I'm happy to clarify the dates of each of these events for you. I have photo and text message proof. Sunday, April 3rd was my original appointment with Jacob Criddle. He left the salon, so I was assigned Torasia as a stylist. She did not dye the front part of my hair, which was confusing as that is not a balayage style at all. I was past the normal correction policy, but as I mentioned in the review, the salon was very adapting and flexible for my needs (I was nervous asking for a correction, this was my first time getting my hair dyed). I came back to the salon in the evening of Friday, April 22nd. This is when the front part of my hair was dyed in a way that did not match the rest of my hair. Once the toner faded four weeks later, I was left with what looked like overgrown roots. My hair does not grow that quickly, and even if it did - I asked for a balayage, something that would be easy to maintain and my natural hair could grow into naturally. The appointment that I canceled was for June 10 and was just a haircut. I had a conflict come up and could not make it anymore, which is why I canceled. I hope this clarifies the review. I am only now submitting this review because I am truly sick of looking in the mirror to see how horrible my hair looks every single day and I payed over $350 for it (even though the website does not say it would be that expensive for a balayage with toner). I am happy to speak on the phone, if you'd like any further explanation or photos. I had at appointment to get my hair balayaged. My normal stylist left the salon, so I got someone random for my appointment. I wasn’t worried because generally all Aveda salons have stylists with very professional training. However, I should have been worried. Once my hair was cut and dried, I realized the stylist didn’t even dye the front part of my head!! (See photo). I will say the salon was flexible and understanding when making the appointment for the correction, which I appreciate. But, I wish I never went to the appointment at all!!! I came out with wayyyy too much toner in the front (see picture) and now that the toner has faded some, I look like I have overgrown roots (see photo)…. Not at all a balayage. Overall I’m disappointed with the final results, but mostly disappointed with the costs. After telling friends what I payed, they shared that it was more than double for what they’ve payed at other salons for a balayage. Don’t come here if you want your hair balayaged.

The stylist Rebecca was fantastic, she did great job with my hair and process. I highly recommend her skills and visit. I still feel for someone who colors their hair regularly Indria is very expensive for a weekly or monthly process but I enjoyed the visit.

Yana is amazing! I have curly hair and Yana understands it! Finally, I have finally found my hairdresser after a life long search. I love love love my new cut and I have never ever said that before. I can’t say enough! I usually wait a year out of fear but I will be back for a trim when Yana told me to return. This is the best my hair has ever looked!

The staff here are very informative and helpful both on call and in person. The general vibe was very clean and hospitable with a friendly staff, they do well with covid regulations. I was able to donate my hair to Hair We Share with no problem and the hair stylist that attended me was nice and skilled with their hair cutting. They determine the price of the cut by the level of the hair stylist, since I was going there to donate and get a simple cut, I chose a level 2 barber.Still, her work was very satisfying and I would go again and recommend.

Sent this salon a private message regarding my service but have not heard anything back. I received a color and cut from Indira and was completely blown away by the lack of customer service. It was 80 degrees out and the salons air conditioning broke (83 indoors according to the thermostat right next to my chair) and they did not call to confirm or notify me that this happened. According to all employees the air had been out for two days, signaling that they had ample time to alert me to wear lighter apparel or to reschedule. I arrived and was completely shocked that this place — WITH NO WINDOWS — was going to make me sit there for 3 hours without even giving me a heads up to wear shorts and a tank top. That alone was not worth the $300 I paid (when I was quoted at $200 when I made the appointment). I’d also like to note that this appointment had to be rescheduled (a fault of my own) and was only available on the weekend. When rescheduling, I confirmed that I’d be able to use the coupon that they offer when booking a previous service, was told it wouldn’t be a problem, but when checking out the individual said it couldn’t be used on weekends. Would have also liked that heads up! Had absolutely no intention of sitting in a hot room for 3 hours on a Sunday and then spending $300 to do so... but what was I supposed to do? Canceling would have resulted in paying it in full anyway I have come a few times throughout the pandemic and although my appointments always took forever, brushed that off and assumed it would be okay to get color here, but I will not be back again and wish I could get my time and money back. Appointments like this are supposed to be peaceful, and this was the exact opposite. Very disappointed and I’d encourage everyone considering an appointment to 1. Confirm your pricing and 2. Confirm things are running smoothly prior to arrival
