**Updated to one star (from 2) because the owner has not responded to my clarification. Likely because they were caught in a lie and will not admit that one of their stylists did a horrible job treating my hair.
**This is my response to the response for the owner. First, thank you for responding. I'm happy to clarify the dates of each of these events for you. I have photo and text message proof. Sunday, April 3rd was my original appointment with Jacob Criddle. He left the salon, so I was assigned Torasia as a stylist. She did not dye the front part of my hair, which was confusing as that is not a balayage style at all. I was past the normal correction policy, but as I mentioned in the review, the salon was very adapting and flexible for my needs (I was nervous asking for a correction, this was my first time getting my hair dyed). I came back to the salon in the evening of Friday, April 22nd. This is when the front part of my hair was dyed in a way that did not match the rest of my hair. Once the toner faded four weeks later, I was left with what looked like overgrown roots. My hair does not grow that quickly, and even if it did - I asked for a balayage, something that would be easy to maintain and my natural hair could grow into naturally. The appointment that I canceled was for June 10 and was just a haircut. I had a conflict come up and could not make it anymore, which is why I canceled. I hope this clarifies the review. I am only now submitting this review because I am truly sick of looking in the mirror to see how horrible my hair looks every single day and I payed over $350 for it (even though the website does not say it would be that expensive for a balayage with toner). I am happy to speak on the phone, if you'd like any further explanation or photos.
I had at appointment to get my hair balayaged. My normal stylist left the salon, so I got someone random for my appointment. I wasn’t worried because generally all Aveda salons have stylists with very professional training. However, I should have been worried. Once my hair was cut and dried, I realized the stylist didn’t even dye the front part of my head!! (See photo). I will say the salon was flexible and understanding when making the appointment for the correction, which I appreciate. But, I wish I never went to the appointment at all!!! I came out with wayyyy too much toner in the front (see picture) and now that the toner has faded some, I look like I have overgrown roots (see photo)…. Not at all a balayage. Overall I’m disappointed with the final results, but mostly disappointed with the costs. After telling friends what I payed, they shared that it was more than double for what they’ve payed at other salons for a balayage. Don’t come here if you want your hair balayaged.
