All of my interactions with this business have been pleasant and professional, and I'm fond of my stylist Erica. I'm a little hair challenged (and make-up, and fashion, and shoes, etc) and I came in asking for help with my hair for my wedding. We had an initial consultation before scheduling my first appt, and I immediately felt comfortable here.
My first time in, I had a cut, highlights and color done for my wedding that was scheduled for 2 weeks later. Leaving the salon, I was really happy with how everything turned out. But one wash later, things got ugly. My hair was bright orange, like carrot top! I was horrified, and worse, I knew that Ericka was away for the week. Still, I called back to see if I could get it fixed. I had a little trouble scheduling, but they worked me in within a few days. I began to explain how this wasn't what I'd asked for and how drastically it'd turned and Jason said, "say no more, I see what you mean and I can fix it." And he did! And he did it at no charge.
My wedding was beautiful and I was happy with my hair on that day (which was 1 week after "the fix"), which was the most important thing.
But, my hair slowly turned orange again over the few weeks that followed. By 5 weeks later (I had prescheduled the appt after the initial cut and color), we were back to blazing orange. I shrugged it off as festive for the Halloween season but was honestly disappointed that I was dealing with this again.
When I went back, I asked that they just recolor everything, just a neutral straight brown, because I really didn't want to keep dealing with it turning orange after whatever glaze washed out.
Ericka talked me into a warmer brown that had a bit of red still in it, and promised if it turned orange again she'd fix it and do exactly what I wanted (Just straight brown). The new color has been about a week and it seems to be holding up well. I'm cautiously optimistic that because it's permanent color and the highlights are now colored over, it won't fade and turn as drastically.
I get that things happen, and there are far bigger things to be worried about than hair color. The people here are professional and kind and extended themselves to help fix a less than ideal situation, and I appreciate that because it was the right thing to do. It's for that reason, despite the difficulties with the color, I'm still giving 4 stars and I'm still a client at this salon.
