Been seeing a particular person for a few years as we are loyal. The last four times my hair was not anything as I had asked. I arrived early, A was doing a girls hair, she came to me twice and whispered this will only be a minute she only has three hairs, this was embarrassing to me. It was another 45 minutes before she sat me in the chair, A started on me an hour late, this happened everytime, once she forgot that I was coming in and neglected to book me, she insisted I return in an hour.
A took it upon herself to make my hair a rainbow of colors, I hate green in hair as well as blue and she insisted. I was only in there to have my roots done lavender was what I wanted and I told her so. I said even though the last one was a mistake I liked it and wanted the same thing. A did not agree, she proceeded to bleach four inches of hair while she popped around the corner to get some color! on the way she picked up another client.Honestly I was horrified that she would leave me with bleach in my hair.
When she came back another client arrived, she whispered something to him he left and came back again, at which point she asked me with my freshly bleached head if I wouldn't mind if she cut his hair...it took another half hour for that, then she began to apply the array of colors. Another client arrived, she did the same thing ...I would say that the girl waited around at least minimum of an hour.
A had another girl rinse my hair set me back on another chair while she worked on client number four.
By this time I had been there four hours. I hated my hair, I came for roots and got My Little Pony meets the smurfs hair. It looked horrendous, and to boot I had a lovely purple ring around my hairline. I kept mentioning the hours , my hair color that I looked like a smurf. It was god awful.
But A didn't mind. She even had the audacity to say to another hairdresser that I freaked her out with the green that's why she didn't see it.
When I finally was able to leave I had been there for SIX hours. My drive is one hour away so it was a clean 8 hours.
The next day I could not help but wash the sickening hair to get rid of the purple and blue. Then suddenly my hair was sticking to the comb and my hands it had turned to mush and was in shock from the over processing. I called the salon freaked out and spoke to the owner who in the end would not help me but wanted me and A to work it out. Are you kidding? I would never let this person touch my head ever again.
The only thing that saved me from losing all my hair was the fact that I piled a ton of conditioner on it and left it I was afraid of losing it all. I called the salon in an emergency situation and they would not help me.
So I found another, a great one with a color specialist (40 years). I went to them and am on a month long treatment for now. There is no way of telling what is going to happen to my hair at this point. But I can tell you that A does not know anything about coloring. When I asked Joel Ray about fixing my hair or helping he replied that he doesn't do fashion color and only works on healthy hair! When I told the new hair color specialist what he said, she laughed out loud.
She also said that my hair had been over processed and would have to work with it to make it healthy again, I had perfectly healthy hair until A got a hold of it.
A also has open disputes with her boyfriend in the salon which is very embarrassing , she is constantly texting and loud.
I will never go back to this place again. I would never recommend anyone to A, she has no regard for her customers.
* I would like add this update:
My hair is totally ruined from the scalp down. It is going to be years before it is completely restored (by growth only) I cannot put a brush through it, no curling, no blowdry..nothing! And to color it no way.
Very distraught over this. I have long hair. If a hair person does not know how to color, they should inform the client!!
I have to have it washed carefully by someone else, treated for a long period of time. This is outrageous, I am disgusted with Aimee.
