I loved everything about this salon. Do not be deterred by the difficulty of finding it. It’s in One Biscayne Tower sort of on the basement floor. Also - if you go on a Saturday the doors to the building are locked and you have to buzz in. I’m telling you all of this so that you fight through it and have your hair done by Carlos. He was FANTASTIC, and there aren’t caps big enough to emphasize that! I went up and he said my hair was beautiful and I said I want to chop it all off and then he just took over. I told him I wanted subtle highlights and he got the color spot on. And you could tell he took his job seriously and that every client was important. I sort of felt like a piece of art he was sculpting haha. I love my new short hair! It’s exactly what I didn’t know I wanted. Im definitely going back. Also there is a friendly adorable dog, so you can’t go wrong.

I'm very happy with my hair, it's not longer orange.. Sheri is very nice and she has experience in hair coloring.. I recommended her 💯.

I had a Groupon, and have fine thick hair and needed a v-shape with layering. Besides the service and employees being very nice and sociable, my cut turned out so nice!

I only trust Trompe L'oeil to do my hair. I have extremely difficult hair to deal with, with many different textures. I have always struggled to find a hair style and more importantly, a stylist that works for me. Sheri at Trompe L'oeil has the magic touch. She nails every style challenge I throw at her! Because of her expertise I can have any style I choose and feel confident the end result will be exactly what I wanted! The entire staff is extremely talented and welcoming and create a great comfortable atmosphere. I won't go anywhere else!

These guys are good... made my grown out bayalage look so much more natural and gave me a beautiful cut! It's not a super fancy place, but they sure have skills! I'm looking forward to going back!
