I’m not one to go out of my way to write bad reviews but this was one of the worst salon experiences I’ve had. Let me start by saying I’m fairly happy with the results ( i did a cut and color ) but for the $300 price tag the service was terrible.
First of all there are 5 “levels” of stylists 1 being amature and 4 and 5 being “expert” the price increases and you go up the levels. Well i got what i thought was an “expert” stylist
I’m not here to rag on this woman but she was trying to lecture me about dead ends and her “hair” had about 5 inches of fried and frayed looking bits at the end.
I say “hair” in quotations because it wasn’t actually her hair, which was very obvious due to the fact that her fake braids were pulling her real hair back on her head about 2 inches.. almost creating a balding effect.
I’m not here to insult the woman, but if your business prides itself on beautiful hair.. maybe you should take time to take care of your own?
HER hair aside I let’s talk about the serivce... at the very beginning another woman introduced herself explaining she would “help”... the two began to dye my hair and the “expert” kept snapping at and correcting the other woman.. she did this so many times i had to ask ....”is she ... is she training???” The experts response... “kinda.....”
What does that even mean??
The expert then left for the remaineder of the dye job leaving me with the woman who was “kinda training”
I figured it’s an all over color she probably can’t mess it up that bad , but it was still an uncomfortable experience ... wasn’t i supposed to be paying for the expert? The “kinda training” woman washed out my hair and then left me at the chair.. i was waiting so long for my hair cut to begin as the expert was working on someone else for quite some time.
She could see i was getting impatient, rushed over and said “don’t worry I’m here.... un cross your arms.” She then proceeded to physically reach over and uncross my arms for me... seriously?
She cut my hair and then left again, leaving the “kinda training” woman to blow dry my hair... welp for the grand finale this woman had some piece fall out of the blow drier .... the blow drier sucked my hair in! Immediately frying and tangling a piece so bad she had to chop it off...
did she replace the hair drier and apologize? Nope !
It happened twice leaving a nice smell of burnt hair in the air. The third time i managed to dodge it.
At the end of the day.. i liked the cut and color but it’s safe to say i will never return nor would i recommend this salon to anyone .
