I’ve been to this salon off and on since 2013. Lilianna and Erica usually do my hair. I walked in and saw a lot of new faces but didn’t think much of it (I SHOULD HAVE). I got my hair washed and rolled without issue. Christina styled my hair and that’s where the issues started. My hair is natural but not particularly coarse or thick. Since 2013 my wash and set has been $35 with $10 if I need a trim. Well she blow dried and tells me I need a trim. I say that’s fine when she says it’s $10 more. When she’s done it’s a full hair cut not a trim but I protective style for the winter so I take it in stride. At check out she says $55 I ask why since it’s supposed to be $35 she says natural hair is $35 and up. I ask what the up is based on since my hair is not even past my shoulders and is combed through quite easily. She says it just depends on the hair. At this point I’ve decided not to come back unless I see my usual stylists I pay and leave . Fast forward to last night when I’m washing my hair before I get it twisted up. I wash my hair and there aren’t any issues when I start combing my hair the left side is coming out by the handful with the root! It looked like my hair was somehow burned and it didn’t feel that way when she was washing it. I’m not sure if the flat iron was too high or something was added during the wash process but after 5 years I will never be back. Liliana actually helped me transition to natural it sucks what this place has become. While I’m pissed about my hair it can grow back. As I was the only person in there while being serviced it’s clear business will not. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Haven't been here in a year and found out my favorite stylist left. That should have been my first clue. The washer and roller ladies were very sweet. However my stylist not so much. She continuously complained my hair was too dry. Duh it's 4C. If there are specific hair types that they work with please let me know at the door. Also when I asked for a trim she basically wanted to give me a haircut. I was like no I only want a trim. She basically told me to trim it at home. I only gave a 2 for the ladies in the back. However I won't return. Thank God someone put in the reviews where I can find Erica

Wow... I wish I read these reviews before I went here!!! Smh. Let me say i was EXTREMELY satisfied with my experience i had and the outcome of my hair..... until yesterday!!! I got my hair washed, set and trimed about a week and a half ago. When my hair was done i noticed that my hair was flat and less bouncy than im used to after coming from the dominicans but my husband loved it sooo i payed it no mind. So yestetday its time to wash my hair, for the 1st time since I got it done at this salon and I had my husband help me wash it. IMMEDIATELY after I wet my hair before he put the shampoo in, we smelt CHEMICALS !!! I havent had a relaxer or any kind of chemicals in my hair for going on 2 years so whyyyyyy would my hair smell like that !!? I began to cry as i put shampoo in. The smell just got stronger ! I knew it was relaxer! Smh. Of course to make matters worse, after conditioning it, my curls were not the same ! IF YOU ARE NATURAL, DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I suggest you bring your own shampoo and conditioner if you have to and if they refuse to use yours DO NOT PROCEED, unless you want relaxer in your hair.

I love it! From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile. I had the best wash from Ana who was also very nice. I am 3 years natural and she was very gentle combing it through. I also recommend getting a deep condition as well. Lillian did my hair who was also very kind. After I got up out of her chair, my hair was so silky, soft and straight as if I had just got a perm. I asked her if I needed my hair clip and her response was not this time we can wait in two weeks. That surprise me since most shops love to cut hair. I been to Dominicas before but this was the best one yet! I will be back in two weeks and I already know this will be my hair salon!
