I was looking for a new hairstylist as I was disappointed with my previous experiences. Barb was extremely friendly and accommodating, she fit me in the next day. She really listened to what I wanted and delivered great highlights and an excellent cut as well as a free eyebrow wax. Her salon is very nice and the prices were reasonable. I will be returning.

I have lived in State College for about 5 years now and I've tried all kinds of salons around here. I travel about 15-20 minutes to get to Barb in downtown Bellefonte, and I have been SO SO SO pleased with my experience. First, I went to Barb to 'fix' highlights from a different salon that I wasn't pleased with. I knew when I walked away that I needed to continue going to Barb as my hairdresser. No more searching. She is unbelievable with color. I leave every time with my hair feeling and looking healthy. She is beyond reasonable with price, as well as, offers good conversation. You'll find a genuine friend who knows what she's doing with your hair. I leave confident and happy every time.

I have been getting my cut and highlighted with Barb at Shear Spirit for a little over 2 years now. Her organic line of products is AMAZING! I had been getting my hair done in State College at one of the "top/pricey" salons, but was not pleased at how my hair felt or looked after a color treatment. So, I decided it is well worth my time to drive to Bellefonte to have someone who knows what they are doing in the hair business. Barb gives amazing cuts. My hair feels and looks better than it has in years. Never dry or dull. She is very customer service oriented. SOOO glad that I take the 20 -25 minutes it takes to get genuinely good products for my hair!!!
