What a great salon! Everyone was really friendly and welcoming. Crystal cut my hair and she was lovely to work with from start to finish. She gave styling tips and showed me how to maintain my new cut at home. I left feeling great with a huge smile on my face and a new stylist. Definitely going back soon!

My 5 year old daughter and I entered the salon with an appointment to get her hair cut, shampooed, conditioner and straightened. Melinda, the hair stylist assigned to do my daughter’s hair immediately looked frightened. My daughter is half African American and half Dominican. She started by asking me if there are any specific treatments or products I use in her hair and I said no. She asked me the same question again moments later. Before washing her hair she told me “we don’t Do ethnic hair.” I couldn’t believe what she just said. So I asked her “so you don’t do any ethnic hair?” She said we usually don’t. That is the first and last time we will be a customer at Salon 5th Ave.
