I decided on a whim to get my hair colored, thankfully Melissa allowed me to come in same day. I sent her pictures of what i wanted and told her that my hair was thick+long. I was going to go from natural hair color (brown) to Denim (Washed out blue, ombre). I was told it would be half their normal price since i was a new customer, so it ended up being just over 100$ (normally over 200$) She initially stated it would take 2 hours, which ended up being 4, which i understand. The process was well and good, it was my first time having my hair colored so i do not have much to go on for experience. We got finished, it was not anything like i had asked for, but i am flexible and i still liked the final result even it wasn't anywhere near what i had asked for. Melissa informed me that i needed to wait 2 days before washing and to be sure to use color-safe shampoo and conditioner. I ended up waiting almost 3 days, but this point my blue hair had turned more aqua. I washed it as instructed, and now my hair is a very ugly swamp-green, and is patchy in areas where the hair wasn't bleached at all. The hair line is pure bright vivid blue where the bleach got the most action. I contacted the owner and stated my concern, to which i was told it would cost 225$ to fix correctly, or she could just add more blue for 70$ (which would not fix the issue) I contacted now 4 other salons around the area and was told that the process that was done was no where near what should have happened, and that something that drastically bad in color would have been free for them to fix. I voiced my final concern with the owner to see if she would be willing to fix the issue, to which she promptly told me that i had 'agreed' to color at the end of the 4 hours with her. Even though less than 72 hours later the color completely turned to a nasty green. Needless to say i am very irate, and will be taking all my future business elsewhere, and informing friends to stay clear.

Melissa has been coloring my wife's hair for over five years. My wife loves her hair and looks forward to going every time. She also cuts my hair. All my family and friends also go to her. She does an excellent job. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants a great color or cut.

The best cut and color I have ever had! I had been thinking of changing hairstylist for a while. I went on the internet and found The Color Studio by Melissa. I was NOT disappointed! My experience from beginning to end was great. The studio was beautiful and very relaxing. Melissa listened to what I wanted and the results were beautiful and beyond expectations. May I also mention the shampoo, WOW. I think I might go in for a shampoo and blow out in between color appointments it felt soooo good. I am definitely going to become a regular client. Thanks Melissa for such a wonderful experience!
