OVER PRICED COURSE. Over crowded class. The medical aesthetic program is basically the same then the regular aesthetic course but pricier. The equipment they use is dated. Most of the shellac colours are crusty and thick because they are too old. They give LITTLE TO NO SUPPORT for student during clients day. I took an appointment with my sister on her FIRST client day to get my eyebrows waxed. She was stressed and unsure if she was doing the right thing. The teacher NEVER came to see how she was doing or if she had questions. She tried to find her teacher multiple times to get advices and was not able to find her. So she did the best she could. After the service was done the teacher never came to check her work before I left. I asked my sister if the teacher is checking their work before their client leave and she said no! Even at their FIRST CLIENT DAY the teacher doesn’t check on them or their client. They just let student practice without making sure that they are doing the right thing and that the clients leave with a service well done! To me this is NOT A HIGH LEVEL TRAINING AND SERVICES THAT THIS SCHOOL SAY THEY OFFER! The client days felt more like a MONEY MAKING OPPORTUNITY FOR THE SCHOOL THEN A LEARNING OPPORTUNITY FOR THE STUDENT!! Poor management of the appointment. Some student didn’t get to practice skills when others had those services booked multiple times. Family member had to book those services so the student could practice on a client at LEAST ONCE before being evaluated on it and had to pay full price for a service they didn’t even wanted but did so that the student had a chance to practice. THE SCHOOL SHOULD MAKE SURE THAT EVERY STUDENT HAD A CHANCE TO PRACTICE A SKILL ENOUGH BEFORE BEING TESTED ON IT IT IS NOT THE STUDENT RESPONSIBILITY!! After my sister’s experience with Jon Raymond we will NEVER recommend anyone to go there either to take a course or to go get service done!

They got me in today last minute and i was with the hairdresser Erica. She was amazing! She was so easy to talk to and get along with. I was originally supposed to just go in for a cut but i really wanted to curl it in the end and she was able to make that happen with me with such short notice. Would recommend Erica to anyone :) 10/10

I would not recommend this school. They do not include dermaplaning, eyelash extensions, or other critical extra lessons in their Medical Esthetics program. You have to pay extra for weekend courses, and there are no promises if they will offer them as it depends on how much interest they have. Other local schools include all of those and have more machines such as Oxygeneo, etc. The interviewer was more concerned about what I currently do for work instead of where I plan to go with medical esthetics, and when I asked for information on the cost of the course, I was told that it “wasn’t ready” and have to wait for an email. Which I never received. Class sizes are 18 to one teacher; if more than 18 students, they add another teacher. Other schools split classes into groups of 10-12 students per teacher for more in-depth learning. I was also told they would not give me an acceptance letter unless I decided I wanted to go to that school over others. Other schools I interviewed for were much more welcoming and gave me acceptance letters the same day. I got the feeling that Jon Raymond is run with a prove to us you deserve to go to school here mentality vs welcoming and wanting diversity and inclusiveness in their students. Essentially, I was paying with private funds as I already have a very successful job but always wanted to do medical esthetics on top of my self-employment, so it was essential to find a school that was welcoming and included the best education possible. Jon Raymond did not fit that bill.
