I was in need of a new stylist and decided to go with Aveda since they had the most positive reviews. My first appointment with Aubrey was great. My hair was exactly how I wanted it, so I made another appointment.
For some reason, it did not turn out the same way as before so I had to go back for her to fix it. To get rid of the gold at the roots.
The same exact thing happened this month. After my initial appointment, I got home, washed my hair and noticed gold, where there shouldn't be gold. I made another appointment for her to fix it hoping that that would be that. As she is foiling my hair, I notice that she is not getting all of the area, so I have to tell her that. Where it should be obvious to the human eye.
After the visit, it looks good. I go home, wash my hair and the gold is still there! I am not understanding this. She is a trained hair stylist. Why is there gold when it should be white? She did it correctly before. What is the problem?
I call Aveda and tell whomever answered the phone my issue. I ask her who has the most experience with color. As I want to nip this in the bud and have it corrected once and for all, since it is obvious that Aubrey can not do it. The woman's response "uhhhhh, I can't answer that" WHAT???? You can not tell me who has the most experience with color?? That seems like a very valid question.
So I have to break it down for her even more. "Ok, so if Aubrey is a recent graduate, who has been there the longest" To which she tells me she will book my appointment with the owner/manager.
I ask is there will be a service fee because this is still a fix and that I am absolutely not happy with this whole situation. She tells me that it was already fixed once. And that I was happy with it. I cut her off to tell her that yes, in the salon it looked like everything was fixed. Until I washed it and you can clearly see there is gold where it should be white. She basically tells me that there will be a fee unless the manager tells me otherwise.
This whole experience has been a complete hassle. I pay for something to be done correctly the first time.
