I tried. Maybe it's just me, maybe they're not used to doing men's hair, since they seemed to take time with women clients, and they seemed to be happy.
I went here twice, the second only a couple weeks after the first time, essentially to fix the first haircut. I'm glad the first stylist listened to my worries about having it cut too short, but the length left wasn't shaped and sides weren't tapered as requested. I brought several pictures of what it should look like and what I got was functional, but not what I asked for.
My hair still needed cut, so I came back a second time toI got the sides trimmed, but not how I asked. I was shocked when she used clippers on my dry hair, jabbing me with the guard multiple times. Yes, it trimmed my hair, but still not tapered. Now it just sticks out on the side. Only washed (with no conditioner, which also blew my mind) to trim top. I had the sense she was rushing to get my hair done and me out the door.
I'm new to Columbus and before trying J Salon, I'd actually drive to my old stylist in another city. I'd hate to have to do that again, but I'll probably do it at least once more when my hair grows out a bit.
